NEW MEMBERSHIP RENEWAL PROCEDURE
To snowmobile across private land in Massachusetts you must join a club and carry your "Snowmobile Association of Massachusetts" ("S.A.M.) registration along with a state registration sticker. This information is covered in the trespass law. In a nut shell, it says that in order to ride your snowmobile across privately owned property without getting written permission from each and every landowner, you need to be a member of a snowmobile club. Joining a club benefits both you, the rider, and the land owner. So please renew your membership each year. The S.A.M. enrollment gives you a serial numbered decal for your sled. Registration is $40 per sled which includes your SAM membership, club membership and trail pass. Please note: YOU MUST HAVE YOUR SERIAL AND REGISTRATION NUMBERS WITH YOU AT THE TIME OF RENEWAL. After each club meeting there will be ample time to process applications and renewals.
To speed up the process, you can download a registration form in either Microsoft Word format or Acrobat Reader PDF. Fill out the form and bring it with you to a meeting to get your stickers.
